As of December 9, 2008 all prescheduled inpatients and outpatients at the Medical Center must register through Central Registration. Please stop at the information desk just inside the main entrance for assistance. 

Walk-in services, including the Emergency Department, Pediatrics After Hours and Laboratory Services will retain their existing registration processes; The Cancer Institute and Rehabilitation Services will also retain their existing scheduling and registration process. Patients visiting those areas should proceed directly to their destination.

1. ENTRANCES TO THE CAMPUS
   St. Joseph Medical Center is accessed via Sister Pierre Drive (off York Road at a traffic light), or by one of three entrances off Osler Drive (the Main Entrance, closest to Stevenson Lane; the Emergency entrance; and the Service Entrance).

2. PARKING
   • Valet parking will be available at the main entrance from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday for a small fee starting December 2008.
   • If you are visiting The Cancer Institute or physician offices in Building A or O’Dea Building B, please park in the garage adjacent to the O’Dea Medical Arts Building.
   • All other visitors to the hospital will be best served by parking on the surface lot directly across from the hospital’s main entrance.
   • The first 30 minutes are free in both the parking garage and the surface parking lot.
   • NeighborCare Pharmacy has two designated 15-minute parking spaces inside the parking garage.
   • Visitors to the Jordan Center (Human Resources, Employee Health Services, the Foundation, Administration) may park on the north side of campus in the 19-space Jordan Visitor Lot. Please enter the Jordan Center through the glass breezeway.
   • Visitors to the Irwin Center may park in the spaces directly in front of the building marked, “Reserved: Volunteer Parking 5A – 5P; IrwinCenter Visitor 5P - 5A 7 Days per Week."
     
     

3. ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE
   At the main information booth, there are greeters to offer you a wheelchair, a map or a personal escort to your destination.

5. PATIENT DISCHARGE

TO GET TO ST. JOSEPH'S MAIN CAMPUS:

From Baltimore City
Take I-83 North to Exit #10A, which bears right onto Northern Parkway. Follow Northern Parkway. Make a left onto Charles Street; then a right onto Stevenson Lane. Turn left onto Osler Drive. Turn right into St. Joseph's main entrance (Irwin Drive).

From North
Take 1-83 South to 1-695 East to Exit #25 (Charles Street). Turn right onto Charles Street. From Charles Street, turn left onto Towsontown Boulevard. Take the first right onto Osler Drive. St. Joseph Medical Center has three entrances on the left past Towson University. For the main hospital, take the third entrance: Irwin Drive. Parking for the hospital is in the lot on the right or in the garage on the left.

From East
Take I-695 West to Exit #25 (Charles St). Turn left at end of exit ramp. At rotary, take first left onto Charles Street. From Charles Street, turn left onto Towsontown Boulevard. Take the first right onto Osler Drive. St. Joseph Medical Center has three entrances on the left past Towson University. For the main hospital, take the third entrance: Irwin Drive. Parking for the hospital is in the lot on the right or in the garage on the left.

From East (Parkville/Non-Beltway)
Take Taylor Avenue (which merges with Goucher Boulevard) toward Towson. Turn left onto Putty Hill (which changes into Burke Avenue). From Burke Avenue, turn left onto Towsontown Boulevard. Turn left onto Osler Drive. Take the first right onto Osler Drive. St. Joseph Medical Center has three entrances on the left past Towson University. For the main hospital, take the third entrance: Irwin Drive. Parking for the hospital is in the lot on the right or in the garage on the left.

From South (Airport)
Take 195 to I-95 North to I-695 North to Exit #25 (Charles Street). Turn right onto Charles Street. From Charles Street, turn left onto Towsontown Boulevard. Take the first right onto Osler Drive. St. Joseph Medical Center has three entrances on the left past Towson University. For the main hospital, take the third entrance: Irwin Drive. Parking for the hospital is in the lot on the right or in the garage on the left.

From West
Take I-695 East to Exit #25 (Charles Street). Turn right onto Charles Street. From Charles Street, turn left onto Towsontown Boulevard. Take the first right onto Osler Drive. TO CARDIOVASCULAR FITNESS AT ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER

From Osler Drive, take the "Service Entrance" onto the St. Joseph Medical Center campus. Parking spaces marked "Vascular Fitness" will be on the right. Cardiovascular Fitness is located on 2 West, on the second floor of the medical center, above the Emergency Room.

TO THE IRWIN CENTER AT ST. JOSEPH

From Osler Drive, take the "Service Entrance" onto the St. Joseph Medical Center campus. Bear right at the stop sign, then bear right again to parking spaces marked, "Educational Services."
