Location:Next to St. Joseph’s inpatient Pediatric Unit, and has its own dedicated entrance, just beyond St. Joseph’s Emergency Department, with convenient parking.

Pediatrics After Hours at St. Joseph offers fast care to pediatric patients and peace of mind to parents. As an extension of the Emergency Department at St. Joseph, Pediatric After Hours is open from 12 noon to 12 midnight, 7 days a week. The goal of the service is to provide expert pediatric care when physician offices are either closed or unavailable to accommodate urgent or emergent visits.  Pediatrics After Hours is located in a newly renovated unit available directly to parents by appointment - this allows sick children to wait at home until their appointment.  Specialized pediatric doctors and nurses provide care for virtually all types of illness and injury, excluding major trauma, for children and teens, from infancy through age 18.

Pediatrics After Hours, previously available only by physician referral, offers parents the ability to make same-day appointments.  Walk-ins are welcome and will be seen as soon as possible.  If the problem is assessed to be severe, the staff ensures that the patient has access to the main Emergency Department, as well as full backup of other hospital services. All medical insurance and medical coverage is accepted. 

PLEASE NOTE: Pediatrics After Hours is for minor emergencies and will be billed as an Emergency Department visit, with an ED insurance co-pay (usually $50)
