The Comfort Care Boutique

The Comfort Care Boutique at St. Joseph Medical Center is located in The Cancer Institute, Building A. The boutique assists mastectomy patients with mastectomy bras and custom breast prostheses which are created through a scanning process of the patient’s breast. The boutique also offers “off the shelf” breast prostheses which does not involve a scanning process.

There will also be a wig specialist at the boutique every Tuesday. Wigs include human and synthetic hair and wig trimming services.

Services also include lymphedema garments, such as arm sleeves and custom compression garments. For those who require lymphedema pumps the boutique provides the “Lympha Press Pumps” which go up to 12 chambers.

The boutique stocks canes, braces, collars and splints as well as supports for backs, ankles, feet, arms, elbows, wrist and knees. Nebulizers, pillows, crutches, mobility helpers and cpaps for sleep apnea patients will also be available.

Even though the boutique will be offering mainly medical products, shoppers will find items such as skin care products, bracelets, necklaces, key chains and pins. The boutique has a catalogue of thousands of medical products which can be ordered and shipped overnight if needed. It accepts all insurances and checks benefits for patients to verify eligibility.
