Chemotherapy

The Serpick Infusion Center moved to its new airy and open space of approximately 6,000 square feet in December 2007.

Patients being treated can look out on beautiful landscaped indoor and outdoor gardens. Patients’ comfort is assured with our custom-made infusion recliners which offer each patient a DVD/TV, radio, access to an electric outlet for laptops, and a remote control to change the positions of the chair, control overhead lighting and call the nurse.

Hot meals are offered to patients who are here during lunch. Patients and visitors who bring their laptops can take advantage of our wireless access. There is comfortable seating available for families and visitors adjacent to each recliner.

The Infusion Center is staffed with Oncology Certified Nurses (OCN) along with certified nursing technicians. Our expert nurses provide telephone triage for all patient to assure their questions and concerns are quickly addressed, and symptoms evaluated, and taken care of.

• Thoracentesis

• Lumbar punctures

• Paracentesis

• Bone marrow biopsies and aspiration
